Join us for the Empire State Hot Air Balloon Festival on Friday July 6th through Sunday July 8th at Barton Orchards in Poughquag. We have a limited number of Hot Air Balloon Rides. You have the option to reserve a Hot Air Balloon ride for one of those three days. We do evening launches on Friday, and Morning and Evening launches on Saturday and Sunday.
Here's how this process will work:
Pick the date and time that works best for you to reserve your flight.
Book your non-refundable deposit of $50 per person.
Arrive early on your flight date to check in with our staff and make your final payments.
If for any reason your flight is cancelled (weather), we will work with you and your schedule to try and reschedule you on a later flight. If all weekend flights are not possible, then we will either refund your money or work with one of our ballonists to work out an alternate date for a flight if that is possible.
Flight Notes:
- You will be asked to sign a liability and hold harmless waiver upon arrival.
- Please be aware that you must be physically able to climb in and out of the balloon basket. Unfortuently Hot Air Balloons are not Handicapped Accessible.
- Balloon Flights are dependable on the weather and pilots descretion. Launches maybe moved up or moved later depending on the weather. There are times when it might appear perfect for a launch on the ground, but just slighty above the trees the wind is too much for balloons to launch.
- Various Balloons can hold a certain number of passengers which can vary from 8 to 2 and are also dependant on basket weight. While we will do whatever we can to keep everyone in your party in the same basket, it's not always possible.
